About me

'I offer a professional counselling service to clients in the Godalming area.  I use an integrative approach to counselling which allows flexibility and enables me to find the most suitable therapy for your individual needs. This could include Psychodynamic work, Person Centred therapy, Transactional Analysis and Relational work.  I work in a non-judgemental and empathic way.'

  • Certificate in Couple Dynamics - ongoing
  • BACP Registered Counsellor / Psychotherapist
  • Current certificate in Safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS - Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate

Experience

Alongside my Private Practice work I am also a volunteer counsellor for the Fountain Centre - a charity run to support cancer sufferers, their families and carers – based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.

My experience includes, for example, working with Relationship issues with individuals or couples; Anxiety, Depression, Low self-esteem, Lack of meaning or direction, Anger, Confidence building, Divorce/Separation, Childhood issues, Stress, Living with chronic illness, Bereavement and loss, Trauma, Body image

I have worked within the NHS as a nurse and midwife for over ten years. This has given me extensive experience of working with people which has enhanced my work as a counsellor.

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor working within the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Code of Ethics. Find me on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists, a register approved by
